Irish Trees Planting forests

Why Businesses and Corporates partner with us as Rewilding patrons.

As a way to engage with nature to bring a better understanding of sustainability in the workplace.

Businesses look to have a positive impact on the environment, not looking to offset their impact, rather recognising it and then finding a way to create a biodiversity gain in Rewilding, with tree planting and conservation, some by a once-off participation, others make a longer term multi-year commitment, following and reporting on their impact.

We don’t lead on ‘Carbon offsetting’ or offer carbon credits.

Trees are made of the carbon they take from the air. However, trees may take 100 years to take 5 tonnes of carbon out of the sky.

Once informed about the biodiversity impacts, businesses don’t just want to plant trees in a green field, they prefer to expand and reconnect ancient woodlands as part of a bigger rewilding project. To witness nature both flora and fauna.

They want to know that the current array of biodiversity can expand almost immediately and be protected permanently.

Our patrons want to work, experience, and revisit Irish Trees at Dunsany Castle and Nature Reserve (1600 acres) , where 750 acres of land have been given back to nature since 2014.

Beyond the planting of trees, businesses want to be part of Ireland’s Largest Private rewilding project.

Irish Trees and Dunsany Nature Reserve are members of the Global Rewilding Alliance and we look to have an impact on Ireland’s Natural Heritage, it flora and fauna.

We engage our larger patrons in Tree planting days, conservation days, pond creation, and biodiversity surveys.

We look for partners who seek something of meaning and create a natural legacy for generations to come.

Using their commitment to engage internal and external stakeholders in occasionally getting their hands dirty, they too feel part of something bigger, and at the end of the day, feel that they have made a real difference.

Some of our patrons invite community/charity groups to attend with them so that the benefits and experiences are shared, this has a twofold impact both on the Environmental and Social aims of the company.
