What to Expect at
Tree Planting days
A typical tree planting day runs from 10:30am – 3:30pm, blending meaningful impact with team connection:
- Warm Welcome at Dunsany Castle: Arrive to tea, coffee, and a short introduction.
- Estate Introduction: Learn about the history of Dunsany Castle and our ongoing rewilding journey.
- Guided Estate Walk: Explore key landmarks, including the Abbey
(featured in Braveheart) and an ancient woodland. - Tree Planting Training: Receive guidance on how to plant and care for native Irish trees.
- Lunch (optional)
- Team Activity: Each participant plants approximately 20 trees, contributing to woodland restoration.
- Photo / Video Treasure Hunt – Learning and laughter

All necessary equipment is provided; gloves, spades, trees, and protectors.
To complete the experience, we also offer an Eco Picnic option, or you are welcome to bring your own.
