Biodiversity for Business

Biodiversity for Business

Global climate change is placing increasing pressure on trees and forests. Development and logging also pose a threat alongside many other causes. Some natural causes of deforestation are drought, climate change and wildfires, while artificial causes can be industrial agriculture, logging, mining and urbanisation.
Worldwide initiatives to save the environment through tree planting are emerging in response to these issues and to aid the removal of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

Reforestation Regeneration

Reforestation Regeneration

Reforestation stands as a crucial antidote to the detrimental impacts of deforestation – it is the process of replenishing depleted forests and woods, either from natural or artificial causes, mainly as a result of deforestation but also following clearcutting. Forest regeneration is the process of replenishing forest cover by planting young trees, either naturally occurring or intentionally, usually soon after the old forest has been cleared.
While planting trees is the main goal of reforestation, restoration involves more than simply planting trees. The goal of ecological restoration is to restore an ecosystem’s structure, biodiversity, and overall functionality using an all-encompassing approach. It focuses on restoring the ecological balance and functionality of a damaged environment rather than just replacing trees. The goal is to restore the whole network of life that formerly existed.

You can personalize the gift by choosing a tree species that holds significance to the recipient, adding an extra layer of thoughtfulness. Planting a tree is an experience and gesture that encourages reflection and mindfulness, allowing the recipient to appreciate the beauty and importance of the natural world. Rewilding Ireland’s Forests

One of the most publicised Rewilding projects in Ireland, Dunsany Nature Reserve, County Meath, has 750 acres dedicated to rewilding. It is a place of natural beauty, home to a variety of flora and fauna.

We have partnered with Lord Dunsany and together our tree planting is bringing the creatures of the woods back to the local area.

You can make a difference. Every tree that’s planted counts. Be part of this amazing project by subscribing to one of our patron plans.
